Krumping is a very fast, expressive freestyle dance, whose aggressive dancing style is often interpreted as a relief from frustration because of social conditions that are perceived as unjust. The founders of krumping (Tight Eyez, Big Mijo, Lil C, and others) and most dancers see krumping as a street version of prayer, thus suggesting that their dance is a form of worship/praise of God. In addition, when krumping, dancers are not trying to put on a show, but rather dance themselves into an emotionally charged state that they call "buck" or "amped," which in very rare cases resembles a trance.
