Samuel's Dance e.V., founded in 2005, is characterised by the goal of raising the profile of urban dance styles such as street dance, hip-hop and breakdance as general sport. For this purpose, we offer courses and working groups (WGs) for children and young people, especially in many elementary and secondary schools.
Working with around 700 members in 22 educational institutions (as of 06/2018), the focus is on learning dance skills, coordination and physical endurance in education.
Dance training increases the self-confidence of children and adolescents, teaches them to interact in a team and opens them up to qualities such as helpfulness, reliability and ambition. The early training of these qualities gives them an advantage in many situations. "Dancing" as a sport contributes to the optimal promotion of movement and coordination. We cooperate closely with Samuel's Dance Hall, which continues to support this, even after school. The dance school has three locations in Berlin and strengthens the further development of each member on a professional level.
