Locking

Locking is a form of dance characterised by wild gestures that mimic the movements of puppets or comic characters. The dance was created in parallel to popping, and Don Campbell is regarded as its inventor. It is usually danced to funk music, which usually emphasises the intention of the dance to express humour and fun.

Samuel's Dance Hall Tempelhof is currently training the only semi-professional locking group in Germany. It is characterised by a high degree of entertainment, technical ability and extravagance.
